🍦 We got the scoop at our last General Meeting! 🍦

We met our board members, learned about upcoming programs, projects, heard all about how our Tech Trekkers spent the week at STEM Camp, and got the latest on interest groups — all topped off with some well-deserved ice cream! 🍨

So much happening and lots to look forward to in FY2026-2027!

The plant based lunch bunch group met at CIYA restaurant last Thursday.

The Walk and Talk group had a great time walking on the opening day of Tunitas Creek (aka Don Horsley) County Park! Such a great park - beautiful with lots to see and a very accessible trail sidewinding down ultimately to the beach.

Jan Grierson and Jan McFarland, our Membership Vice Presidents organized a delightful picnic luncheon to celebrate our end-of-the-fiscal-year meeting. We recognized our 2026 scholarship recipients, Tech Trek participants, past and current branch officers, and Named Gift honorees.

At the General Meeting on May 19th, Speaker, Amy Reid, the 2025 AAUW Fund Fellowship Award Winner, gave a talk about her current PhD work entitled "Serious Business: 1970s Feminist Film Distribution; A Site for Archival Knowledge.”

AAUW HMB also presented a $2500 donation to support three robotics programs - the Pumpkin Bots high school team and two new programs: the Coastside Circuits for middle school students and the First Lego League Robotics for students in second through fifth grades.
