The HEAL Project, U.S.A

The HEAL Project, U.S.A We teach kids how their food is grown and why it matters. https://www.thehealproject.org/ THP administers programs on the farm year-round.

The HEAL Project (THP) on The Farm: The San Mateo County (SMC) School Farm operates on two acres of Coastside commercial farmland. Field trips are open to all SMC schools. Students eat, plant, harvest, and learn about the produce that is grown. Interested parties are encouraged to check out our website to learn more and sign up! THP Camps: Our day camps immerse students in an outdoor learning adve

nture at The Farm. Themed camps are filled with activities such as cooking, hiking, digging, tasting, science and art in nature. THP in the Classroom: Our flagship program, the Intensive Garden Program (IGP), is a focused curriculum for 2nd & 3rd graders tied to the Next Generation Science Standards. For an hour each week, THP is in the classroom garden at two Coastside schools providing lessons and activities that connect students with their HEALTH, the ENVIRONMENT, and sustainable AGRICULTURE through LEARNING. (These are the four words that form the acronym HEAL in our name.) THP in the Garden: The Garden Club offers an extension of our classroom program for interested students during lunch recess. Older participants have the opportunity to become involved in their community and local food system by conducting campus garden sales and participating in THP's Farmers' Market booth.

Put your money where their mouths are.
Modern life is leaving our kids disconnected from food, health, the natural world, and one another.
Our programs are a refuge from that reality.
This Giving Tuesday, we’re asking you to help ensure that the next generation grows up connected to their health, communities, and natural world — one carrot, one garden, one child at a time.
Visit www.thehealproject.org/donate to help us grow the next generation of healthy eaters and environmental stewards!
Your donation is necessary, and every amount matters:
🍓 $50 puts a row of turnips in the ground at the Farm (an all-time favorite for our student visitors to taste!)
🍓 $300 provides fresh, local produce for 100 meals to those in need through our community partners
🍓 $750 gifts 5 students a full year of garden class
🍓 $1000 adopts the Farm for a day - all the kids, all the programs, all the produce, and all the impact!
