If you missed Sunday's sermon, here's the video:

Why are young women leaving the church in record numbers? For many, it's a heartbreaking choice made to reclaim the dignity that spiritual abuse and doctrines of "submission" have denied them.

In this sermon, we explore why God doesn't call anyone to submit to toxic power, but rather to emulate the self-emptying, humble love of Christ. From Jesus' Parable of the Two Sons to Paul's message for female leaders in the early church, discover the "third way" of Christian faith: leaving behind hypocrisy and status-seeking to roll up our sleeves and do the messy, beautiful work of justice, equality, and belonging.

What if grace isn't about God's cosmic spreadsheet, but a promise that God will sustain us and stay with us in the wilderness?

This Sunday, we'll explore what Exodus, Philippians, and Matthew have to say about God's generosity—and what it might mean to step away from the anxiety of acquiring more and trust that God will show us what "enough" truly means.

Join us this Sunday at 10 AM at Holy Family Episcopal Church.

Solar Power! A new kitchen floor and hot water heater! A gutter upgrade and venting the crawl space. Holy Family has gotten some major work done in the last few weeks. Let's celebrate being stewards of God's creation with our solar panels and good stewards of our little house church & school, originally built in 1900! And a HUGE thank you to the leaders who labored to make these projects happen. 🫶👼

A yoke isn't a solo burden—it's designed for a team of two. 🤝 Moving against the grain of a culture of exploitation and power can feel exhausting. But when Jesus invites us into his yoke, he takes the heavy side of the load right beside us. You don't have to carry the weight alone. What does it look like to align ourselves with God’s goodness in our daily lives? It means choosing concrete actions that support and uplift our neighbors. Here is Ken at the Half Moon Bay radio station, sharing the story of our upcoming outreach project: the Backpack Drive, which he leads.

When the culture around us leans into scarcity and isolation, we can come together to make sure every local kid has what they need for school.

Thank you to KHMB for hosting us, and to everyone who is donating, packing, and making this drive possible!

We are all serving something or someone by how we spend our time, our money, and our energy. In a world dominated by powers that want to divide and oppress, choosing to rest and connect with a neighbor is a radical act of faith. The sacred beauty of being fully known. 🏳️‍🌈🕊️

During our Pride Eucharist last Sunday, Deb Hedger beautifully captured this truth in her poem, "To Know Yourself Is Divine."

We are so grateful to be able to share this sacred moment with you. The video of Deb reading her poem is up on our YouTube channel here: https://youtu.be/MaHdMd--2xg
