This story is exactly why Beach Break Entertainment raised money and concerns about offering the assembly for ALL elementary school 4th and 5th graders to screen Philharmonia Fantastique again. A moment of for the children of the coast to experience the instruments that create harmony for the ears and soul, before go away.

Calling all PTO’s.
Let’s get this program for the kids to the Boys and Girls Event Center before the end of the year.

When a single cello can cost $1,000 and a tuba $9,000, tariffs are straining meager band and orchestra budgets.

Hey Coastsiders, have you strolled along our vibrant Main Street, HMB, lately? The perfect opportunity is coming right up! To get your summer off to a great start, may we suggest something a little different that may just get you dancing in the aisles of the HMB Oddfellows Hall? Dirty Cello is a multi-talented, energetic band led by Rebecca Roudman, a classically trained cellist who has played with professional orchestras in the Bay Area. The band takes on everything from classic rock to blues and other genres, as Ms. Roudman improvises on her cello, sings and may even switch to the fiddle! How has CCO invited young people to explore classical music over the years? (Clockwise from top) Two exciting demos: "For the Love of Music" assembly at Boys & Girls Club for all 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students on the Coastside, plus our participation in a panel at BBE Film Festival, both in collaboration with Beach Break Entertainment! CCO has also repaired or replaced student instruments, such as this tuba for the Cunha Band; invited advanced teen musicians to join the orchestra for a semester; and we perform for classrooms and small groups, providing kids an up-close experience with orchestral instruments. https://www.coastsidegives.org/organization/cco
