BEWARE: Cuteness Overload!

Our hearts are full knowing we could help Xena's human who is juggling a full-time job that sounds good but barely pays the bills, a young son with special needs who needs more of her, and her beloved rottie who was spending 12+ hours home alone every day.

Enter Tanto's humans who wanted to fill the void in theirs and their boy's hearts after recently losing their female rottie much too soon, to cancer. 💔

We knew a perfect match was in the making when Tanto basically said, "We're done here right? she's coming home with us..." at our initial meet. Dogs and humans were all on the same page as these two kept looking for each other as Tanto and his family drove away.

Done, done and done.

Thank you Mercedes for holding out for the right family for your girl (it took a few!) and Lynn and Ernie for loving your boy Tanto so deeply you got him a real live teddy bear. 🤣😂

We're all family now!!!!

We Are Weeping Tears of JOY for Our Boy Tank!

Some dogs are harder to place than others. Our scrumptious, 80+ lb, 3-legged, bestest Rottie boy Tank is one of them. It wasn't for lack of interest, the rotties have a loyal following. But the idea of a big 3-legged boy and the REALITY of a big 3-legged boy dissuaded most people. Luckily Tank's human found an emergency foster for him when personal circumstances, none of us would wish on anyone, meant she had to give up her beloved pair of rotties. We placed her girl within a day or two (love you rottie fans 💋🐾).

But Tank took longer (ok a lot longer).

His emergency foster was NEVER going to give up on this boy despite having to turn her life every which way around to keep him. (Terra, you are our kind of people!)

One year later Charlotte and Mark, two angels on this planet, opened their huge hearts and retirement home to our boy. And now the dog that loves to swim, is swimming again, (and he don't need no 4 legs to swim!!!)

Tango WAS the longest stay dog at the San Jose shelter, coming up on ONE YEAR of terrifying shelter life. Playgroups saved this boy by giving him an outlet for the fear and stress and demonstrating how great he is with dogs (don't let his size fool you, he has what Dogs Playing for Life classifies as a "gentle dainty" play style). Misunderstood by some of the staff handling him, Tango was deemed unadoptable - despite playing safely and beautifully in over ONE YEAR of playgroups, requiring multiple people escorting him to and from the play yards safely and humorously (this guy is a riot!)

Enter PACC saviors, Carlo and Emma, who literally saved Tango's life ♥️🐾

As you can see he's wasting no time in making himself at home with big bro Dozer, also saved by Carlo and Emma and their pack.

This handsome hunk will be up for adoption soon.

Too many shelters have not kept up with modern times and still believe a dogs kennel behavior is who that dog is and how they will be in a home. NOTHING COULD BE FURTHER FROM THE TRUTH. Check out Maisey Jane when she's frustrated and afraid in the kennel vs when she knows she is safe and loved.

We're cheerleading our peeps at Contra Costa Animal Services for continuing the hard work after PACC and Dogs Playing for Life left the recent training. You know you have our support where you need it!

Odin wasn't quite sure she's a dog (we're right there with you dude) but he knows a new bestie when he sees one 🥰🐾🥰🐾

We are named "Partners" in Animal Care & Compassion because no one person or entity acting alone can meet the massive need for animal rescue.

Peety was left in Julie's yard because locals in crisis knew a huge hearted dog lover when they saw one. Julie's pack immediately embraced our little guy. PACC stepped in with a nip tuck, vax, sorely needed mani-pedi, microchip and vet consult on his differently formed paw...

and wait for it...

Aimee and her pack opened their hearts and forever home to this delightful little guy ♥️🐾♥️🐾
