The Halethorpe Improvement Association follows Baltimore County Public Schools (BCPS) for delays and
closings. If BCPS closes early due to inclement weather, the HIA meeting scheduled for that day will be cancelled. If BCPS closes for the day, the HIA meeting
will also be cancelled for that night.

Tonight, the District 12 team is hosting a public meeting to discuss the proposed changes to MTA bus routes under the new BaltimoreLink program. Representatives from MTA will be present to discuss the changes to the routes and listen to your feedback about any problems or concerns.

Early proposals from MTA have shown they are planning to make significant changes throughout the Southwest Baltimore County area. Please attend to see what the impact might be on you, your neighbors, or your customers who rely on public transit.
We now have an image of proposed changes, which is available below.

Please feel free to bring your questions and concerns for the proposed maps to tonight's meeting!

Exciting news for our area. Governor Larry Hogan will be coming to the Arbutus 4th of July parade next Monday! Come say hi to the Governor at Elm Road and Oregon Avenue! He is expected to stop by at 12 noon!

Beginning tomorrow, April 14th, until April 21st you will have the opportunity to vote in Maryland. There is an early voting site at Arbutus Community Center, located at 865 Sulphur Spring Road, Halethorpe, MD 21227. You can visit there to cast your vote from 10am-8pm daily, including this weekend!

Memberships are now available for 2016, and are $3/year for an individual, $4/year for a couple and $5/year for a family. Stop by to spend time with your community members and stay informed.
