At present, Hawaii 50 is comprised of Student Pilots and Flight Instructors as well as General Aviation, Corporate, Regional Airline, Major Airline and Military pilots. In addition, our members include Aircraft Owners, Aircraft Mechanics, Flight Attendants, Dispatchers, Reservationists and faculty members from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical Universtiy, Hawaii Pacific University and the University of Hawaii.

Chapter updates! The Women in Aviation Aloha Chapter continues to empower and connect individuals pursuing aviation careers or
nurturing a passion for flight. Recently, we’ve hosted several successful outreach events, fundraisers, and our favorite
annual celebration—Girls in Aviation Day. This September, we partnered with Hawaiian Airlines to host the event at their
headquarters. With registration at full capacity, participants explored in-flight duties, flew in the simulators, and learned
about flight operations firsthand.
We also held a successful Krispy Kreme fundraiser, with hopes that the proceeds will help fund a future scholarship for
aspiring aviators. Special congratulations to our very own Denise Smith, who was awarded a $5,000 scholarship from
Alaska Airlines! We’re incredibly proud of her achievement and grateful for her continued dedication to our chapter and
community.
The Aloha Chapter moves forward with great pride in our Hawaiian Islands and deep appreciation for our aviation ‘ohana.
