Well that's a wrap on Wagon Days and Pancake Breakfast!

Thanks to all the helping hands, planners, pancake flippers, sponsors and smiles that made this year’s pancake breakfast a huge success. For the first year being held on just one day, we almost served the same number of people we have served in the past when hosting the event for two days. PLUS with the food entirely donated by Village Market Ketchum, Idaho, the event was arguably better than ever!

Wagon Days Pancake Breakfast – September 5

Start your Wagon Days celebration with a beloved community tradition! Since 1977, the 5B Kids Fund Pancake Breakfast has welcomed families and friends to Ketchum Town Square on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend.

Enjoy an all-you-can-eat country breakfast of fluffy pancakes, eggs, and sausage, cooked and served by 5B Kids Fund members and community volunteers.

Breakfast Pricing

Adults: $18
Seniors (65+) & Youth (ages 5–15): $14
Children under 5: Free
After breakfast, grab a spot along the parade route for the Big Hitch Parade—one of the largest non-motorized parades in the Pacific Northwest, featuring beautifully restored wagons, stagecoaches, and horse-drawn vehicles.

The Pancake Breakfast is one of our two largest annual fundraisers, helping make grants to local youth-serving organizations while supporting free community events like Kindercup and Nordic Cup.

We need your help! It takes dozens of volunteers to make this community tradition possible. If you can spare a few hours, we'd love to have you join us. Sign up for a volunteer shift today! Link in our bio.

At the 5B Kids Fund meeting in March, members awarded $2000 to the Sawtooth Botanical Garden for their annual Bug Zoo Festival. This fun and educational festival is open to all youth and adults, with a special emphasis on youth from pre-K to 5th grade. It consists of 4 days of class visits plus a lively family festival on Saturday to wrap up the event. The focus is on interactive education, getting youth hands-on with critters and educational exhibits. The bug zoo opens TODAY May 11 and runs through May 16.

Youth at Bug Zoo get to see metamorphosis in action and feel the flutter of a butterfly in their own hands. This boy is getting ready to release two butterflies that were once just caterpillars! Hope you can check it out!

Thanks to support from the 5B Kids Fund this year, the Blaine County Education Foundation provided new backpacks filled with school supplies to 468 students in need across the district. The backpacks were requested for students in grades pre-k through 12th and at all eight BCSD schools. This support empowered each child to hit the ground running on the first day of classes.

Anyone can get involved with the 5B Kids Fund to join us in doing this impactful work! Our upcoming membership meeting is open and we welcome interesting individuals to attend. The January meeting will be held Tueday January 20th at the Hailey Visitor Center starting with socializing at 6:30 p.m. We'll be hearing presentations from on the Run of Southern Idaho and Wood River Middle School.
