Another successful Kindercup was had this past weekend at Dollar Mountain. 200 skiers and snowboarders participated in this fun and free event hosted by 5B Kids Fund and Sun Valley Ski Education Foundation. Event chair Maureen Puddicombe shared that she loves how much fun all the kids have and that they always cheer for every single one of their fellow racers at the awards ceremony. "They support each other so much, and it's just great to see."

OUR FUNDS AT WORK: 5B Kids Fund supported the on the Run of Southern Idaho program this past January with a $2000 grant. The funds will be used to provide some of the program & curriculum materials such as Girl Journal (offered in English or Spanish), program shirt, water bottle, program keepsake and 5K medal. Did you know they are looking for coaches for their Spring season?? Check them out for more information.

5B Kids Fund members make these granting decisions at our monthly meetings. Anyone is welcomed! Please consider joining us at our February meeting on Tuesday, February 17th at the Sun Valley Culinery Institute. Socializing starts at 6:30 p.m. and presentations begin at 7:00.

Thanks to support from the 5B Kids Fund this year, the Blaine County Education Foundation provided new backpacks filled with school supplies to 468 students in need across the district. The backpacks were requested for students in grades pre-k through 12th and at all eight BCSD schools. This support empowered each child to hit the ground running on the first day of classes.

Anyone can get involved with the 5B Kids Fund to join us in doing this impactful work! Our upcoming membership meeting is open and we welcome interesting individuals to attend. The January meeting will be held Tueday January 20th at the Hailey Visitor Center starting with socializing at 6:30 p.m. We'll be hearing presentations from on the Run of Southern Idaho and Wood River Middle School.
