Freedom House Ministries

Freedom House Ministries Sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ Because It Sets People FREE! Our first step will be to meet people and make friends. People of all ages will be included.

The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me,
Because the LORD has anointed me
To bring good news to the afflicted;
He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to captives
And freedom to prisoners;
Isaiah 61:1 (NASB)

The Plan
We plan to establish a coffeehouse that will operate as a community center through which we will reach out to surrounding communities. Each person who serves i

n the ministry will use his or her unique gifts and abilities for the purpose of building relationships with the people that we encounter. We will do things like plan hunting and fishing trips, offer after-school homework help, hold parenting and marriage workshops, plan group experiments in exploring Biblical truths, and organize ministries to address the communities’ specific needs, and, of course, we will sell coffee. The CoffeeHouse will be a place for people who might never enter a church building to meet Jesus as He presented Himself in the Bible, by first meeting His followers, who are learning to live out their faith and to speak the Gospel into all areas of life. We will do this both by hosting events at The CoffeeHouse and going out to events in the community. As we make friends, we will begin inviting them to family-style meals. The meals will be followed by a time of conversation about the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As people encounter Jesus and choose to follow, we will begin to disciple them, both in groups and one on one. Our worship gatherings will be primarily reserved for those who have decided to follow Jesus, have been baptized, and desire to grow spiritually, and to worship, give, and serve in the Body of Christ. We will live as people on mission together--loving, supporting, and encouraging each other.

Matthew 5:6
“Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.”--Jesus

Psalm 107:8-9
“Let them thank the Lord for His steadfast love, for His wondrous works to the children of man!
For He satisfies the longing soul, and the hungry soul He fills with good things.”

1 Peter 2:1-5
“So put away all malice and all deceit and hypocrisy and envy and all slander. Like newborn infants, long for the pure spiritual milk, that by it you may grow up into salvation— if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is good.

“As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious, you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.” --The Apostle Peter

Colossians 1:9-10
“And so, from the day we heard, we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so as to walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to Him: bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God . . .” --the Apostle Paul

James 1:22-25
But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing.

Matthew 20:25-28
But Jesus called them to Him and said, “You know that the rulers of the Gentiles lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them. It shall not be so among you. But whoever would be great among you must be your servant, and whoever would be first among you must be your slave, even as the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give His life as a ransom for many.”

“One thing I ask from the Lord,
this only do I seek:
