Congratulations to the members recognized during Ketchum Fire District's celebration last weekend! 🎉🚒

The district proudly swore in new Captain Lara McLean and Firefighter Ted Yewer, marking an exciting milestone in their service to the community.

The morning also included the presentation of the Lifetime Achievement Award to longtime member Tom Ancona in recognition of his years of dedication and service. In addition, several Paid On-Call members were recognized for their hard work, commitment, and contributions to the district.

Thank you to all of these individuals for their dedication to serving our community. We are grateful for everything you do. 👏

When Mazie found herself stuck in a culvert hole, she gave her family quite a scare. Fortunately, Local 3426 crews were able to help bring this adventurous pup back to safety. Cuando Mazie quedó atrapada en una alcantarilla, le dio un gran susto a su familia. May was a HUGE training month across Blaine County! 🚒🔥

From structure fire training—including a live fire training class—to wildland fire operations, rope rescue training, and EMS education, our crews spent the month sharpening critical skills and preparing for the challenges ahead.

A big thank you to everyone who participated, instructed, and helped make these trainings possible. Your dedication to continuous learning helps keep our firefighters, EMS providers, and community safe.

¡Mayo fue un mes ENORME de capacitación en todo el condado de Blaine! 🚒🔥

Desde entrenamiento en incendios estructurales, incluyendo una clase de fuego real, hasta operaciones de combate de incendios forestales, rescate con cuerdas y capacitación en servicios médicos de emergencia (EMS), nuestras cuadrillas dedicaron el mes a fortalecer habilidades críticas y prepararse para los desafíos que puedan enfrentar.
