🍀Distinguished Service Award🍀
Katie Wilding has served as a dedicated 4-H leader for the past five years, making a lasting impact on youth and the Silver Creek 4-H community. During that time, she has led the Market Swine project, Shotgun, and Archery programs, while also serving as the Blaine County 4H secretary for the past several years. Katie’s connection to 4-H began long before she became a leader. Growing up in Carey, she was an active 4-H member herself, raising pigs and experiencing firsthand the opportunities that 4-H provides. After moving back to the area nine and a half years ago, she was eager to give back to the program that helped shape her. Although her family moved away this past spring, Katie has continued to support the club from a distance and remains involved whenever they are back in town. Her commitment to the youth she serves has never been limited by location. Katie is passionate about helping young people succeed. She genuinely cares about every member and works tirelessly behind the scenes to ensure her projects provide meaningful learning experiences. She believes 4-H is about much more than completing the minimum requirements—it’s about helping young people build confidence, develop responsibility, learn valuable life skills, and grow into capable, caring adults. Her dedication, servant leadership, and unwavering commitment to the success of 4-H members make her a truly deserving recipient of the Distinguished Service Award.
