***ATTENTION HAIKU*** Please read, share, repost, and spread the word.
We have been seeing several hand painted signs all over Haiku about "speed tables" and we want to provide some clarification. We appreciate you all working with us to spread the word!
We fully understand the subject of speed tables is a priority to the public and because of the overwhelming community interest in speed tables, a NEW community meeting has been added on August 26 so there will be ample time for updates, public questions, and community input. This meeting was created specifically because we heard your concerns and want to ensure the topic received the time and attention it deserves.
Both meetings are important and each serves a different purpose. Tonight's Mayor's Candidate Forum gives our community the opportunity to hear directly from each candidate before the election, while the dedicated Speed Tables Meeting provides the time needed for updates, public questions, and meaningful community discussion.
By holding separate meetings, each receives the attention it deserves. Candidates will be asked their stance on the community concerns regarding “speed tables”.
Tonight's meeting remains a MAYOR'S CANDIDATE FORUM, community advocate Gregg Blue will provide a brief update on recent developments on Speed Tables. More information on the designated speed tables meeting is below.

August 26, 6:30–8:30 PM

Mahalo for your patience and understanding. For those attending tonight, please support our community and bring non-perishable items to donate to Maui Food Bank. Hope to see you all at tonight’s meeting!
