Our Kōkua Cats program helps care for some of Maui’s most vulnerable cats — seniors, abandoned cats, and those who have lost their homes due to illness or life changes. These cats come to us when they have nowhere else to go… and we give them a safe, loving forever home.

Every donation — even $5, $10, or $25 — helps show support for our cause, which directly impacts the grant funding we receive through the Charity Walk 🙏

Happy Holidays from Maui Cat House! 🎄 🐱

We are so grateful for our generous donors and everyone who supports and follows our page.

Many of our cats are seniors and special-needs cats who came to us from difficult circumstances and require daily medications, special diets, and ongoing care.

The holiday season is our most critical time for fundraising, and every dollar raised now directly helps us continue providing the care they depend on year-round.

Cuddle time 💕🐾
Sweetheart’s keeping watch while Mary and Handsome snuggle up in their favorite spot.

Sweetheart is one of our longtime residents, Handsome (the white kitty) came to us earlier this year after his beloved owner passed away, and little Mary—rescued around the same time—has blossomed from a shy girl into a happy, confident member of our sanctuary family. 💛

🌞 It’s been such a long, hot, and dry summer here on Maui, with drought conditions all around. This morning we finally got a refreshing sprinkling of rain 🌧️ — and these two best little friends are cuddled up under the banana trees, enjoying the cool moment together. 💛🐾

Wailuku please help find this kitty! Leg was amputated! Should be easy to spot 🙏🙏🙏

🚨Lulu has gone missing from her foster home! 😔She was last seen on Wednesday August 20 at 1:30pm in K**a Street, Wailuku.

She is a sweet & gentle girl who is recovering from surgery.❤️‍🩹 Her front right leg was recently amputated, and she is wearing a pink fuchsia colored ‘shirt’ for compression for her healing. 🐾

Kupuna Paws – Helping Maui’s Seniors & Their Cats 🐾💛

If you know a Maui senior who is facing serious health challenges, entering hospice care, or moving into long-term care — and they have a cat they can no longer care for — please reach out to me.

Through our Kupuna Paws program, made possible by special grant funding, we can provide lifetime sanctuary care for their beloved cat. This means their kitty will always be safe, loved, and cared for, even if they can’t be there themselves.

Grant funds are limited, so the sooner you connect with us, the better.
