The Common Ground collective Team is a unique and extremely passionate group of individuals with experience in Sustainable Sciences, Business management, Research, Agriculture, politics, law and the hospitality industry. We want to use our expertise to help our community, our environment and the current socioeconomic culture.

Our organization strives to teach community members, volunteers, and students how to grow food, and provides essential knowledge and hands-on training for the efficient management of properties, all while creating and nurturing connections within the community in order to successfully get products out to markets for purchase. In these and other ways, Common Ground Collective will provide various incentives for the landowners to start and keep producing.

Maui Humane Society’s mission is to protect and save the lives of Maui’s animals, accepting all in need, educating the community, and inspiring respect and compassion towards all animals.

The Maui Humane Society, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, was first established as a non-profit in 1953, incorporated in 1962 and is the only open admission animal shelter on the island of Maui. Our mission is “to protect and save the lives of Maui’s animals, accepting all in need, educating the community, and inspiring respect and compassion towards all animals”.

Our exceptional staff are passionate, devoted to our mission and have cultivated an organizational culture that fosters collaboration and problem-solving. With strong leadership and strategic vision, The organization’s innovative programs are saving more lives than ever before and enhancing the quality and availability of animal welfare services on Maui

These combined efforts have made it possible for Maui Humane Society to boast a 93.9% Live Release Rate (LRR) for dogs, and 80.3% LRR for cats in fiscal year 2022.

During Covid The Chef Collective is an inclusive group of chefs in Maui who have gathered together to use their culinary skills and food service connections to feed the vulnerable communities. We have now updated to help those affected by the fires.

West Maui currently destroyed and most residents are unemployed, and this gives an opportunity to empower local chefs and cooks with a purpose and professional environment.

100% of funds donated are used to stimulate the local economy by directly paying farmers and feeding those in need.

We are partnered with Hua Momona Farm and by using their network of volunteers and facility for pick-up and deliveries, we provide food packaged to-go, and deliver to those in dire need.
