Louisiana’s Statewide Needs Assessment closes OCTOBER 15TH… and right now, St. Charles Parish has only 222 completed assessments. 👀

With 10,000+ older adults living right here in St. Charles Parish, we KNOW we can do better! 💪💙💛

This is more than just a survey — this is our chance to make sure the voices of St. Charles Parish are HEARD. 🗣️

🌻 October 3rd will always be a special day around here.

One year ago today, Sunflower Blossom Therapies wasn’t part of some perfectly timed five-year plan.

In fact, the timing was anything but perfect.

Sometimes life changes your plans before you feel ready — and sometimes that unexpected change becomes the push you needed to build something you didn't yet realize you were capable of building.

What started with uncertainty became Sunflower Blossom Therapies. 🌻

Over the last year, we’ve built more than a clinic.

We’ve built a team that loves our kids fiercely.

We’ve created a place where challenging behavior isn't a reason to turn a child away.

Where caregiver involvement matters.

Where BCBAs are present, involved, and on the floor.

Where our team keeps learning, growing, and holding ourselves to a high standard.

And most importantly, we've created a place where every child who walks through our doors is seen as a whole person — not a diagnosis, a behavior, or a billing code.

There have been growing pains, long days, hard lessons, and plenty of moments when we've had to figure things out as we went.

But we'd do it all again.

Because somewhere in the middle of all that uncertainty, we found our purpose.

October 3rd may have started as an unexpected change in direction.

Today, we choose to remember it as the day a sunflower seed was planted. 🌱

And what a beautiful thing it has become.

Here's to continuing to grow, continuing to learn, and continuing to do right by the children and families who trust us.

Had such an amazing time at Destrehan High School for Heritage Night alongside our wonderful longtime Board Member, Ms. Josefina Jimenez! She is a constant literal and figurative voice for the sometimes unseen and undeserved. We could not be more proud.

Saturdays are for Serving! Thank you to our phenomenal partners St Charles UMC, Destrehan, LA (Homeless Ministry) and St. Charles Parish Sheriff's Office (Tots & Tummies) for allowing us to partner in action today! Your partnership is invaluable. Much love to Operation Restoration for pulling up all the way from New Orleans to provide much needed diapers and pull-ups to our moms. A special shoutout to our building partner A Safe Space of St. Charles Domestic Violence Advocacy & Support Program for their hearts to help through time and donations. We were able to connect them with one of our families in need, another beloved partner Sunflower Blossom Therapies and Tots & Tummies. Anywhere you are serving is where we want to be!
