June is Gun Violence Awareness Month, and it’s important to recognize the deep connection between gun violence and domestic violence. 🧡💜

According to the latest Domestic Violence Fatality Report by MNADV, 75% of domestic violence fatalities in Maryland involved a gun. Fi****ms drastically increase the lethality of abusive situations, making safety planning and awareness even more critical.

If you or someone you know is navigating an abusive relationship, understanding firearm safety laws can be lifesaving. Learn more here:

Eid al-Ghadir (or Eid al Ghadeer), an important holiday for Shi'a Muslims, begins on the evening of June 3rd and lasts through June 4th.

This observance commemorates Prophet Muhammad's final sermon at Ghadir Khumm, where he designated Imam Ali as his successor. It’s a time of fasting, attending lectures, prayer, and forgiveness.

To all celebrating, we wish you a blessed Eid al-Ghadir.
