It’s that time of the year to begin planning for Dayton Modelrama 2026. Before getting into the show’s specifics, let’s look at the ongoing relationship between the AMA and Dayton Modelrama. Dayton Modelrama is one of the country’s largest model swap meet and manufacturer expo. The AMA is a great organization that supports our hobby and clubs across the country including pilots of all skill levels and disciplines. Through our combined efforts, this relationship will draw more exhibitors and buyers to the show and that is a win / win for all of us.

Dayton Modelrama will take place on March 20th and the 21st at the Montgomery County Fairgrounds in Dayton, OH. The Expo is housed in two buildings and features 42,000 square feet containing all things RC (both new and used). For the past four years we’ve sold over 350 tables at each event (370 last year). A giant auction will follow the show on Saturday afternoon, so if your merchandise doesn’t sell, you can choose to place your items in the auction!

We’ll use the same Loyalty program we implemented last year. Those swappers and vendors who had tables or booths with us in 2025, can request the same tables they had the year prior. Please mark your preference when you register (online or by mail). Every attempt will be made to put you in the same location or nearby. The loyalty program will open December 1st through December 15. On December 15th, new attendees or attendees seeking a different location, table requests will be assigned in the order they are received.

Show dates and times - Friday March 20th, 9:00AM to 3:00PM and 8:00AM to 3:00 Saturday the 21st.Swappers and vendor set up begins at 7: 00AM. The Saturday Auction starts at 1: 00PM.

In this day of price increases, we are pleased to announce that all show and table prices remain the same as the last four years. Table prices are very competitive; One day tables start at $22, or a two-day table can be purchased for $28 (that’s $14 per day). Booth and wall tables are available at a slightly higher price. You can rent an interior table for one or two days. Wall tables and booths are only two days only.
Concessions and two ATM’s are available in each building.
Raffle prizes will be awarded at the close of each day, and you need not be present to win. Dozens of door prizes from our great vendors will be awarded throughout the event.
The fairgrounds have completed work on their new campground located within walking distance of the event. Both primitive and RV sites are available. Check details at our website, www.daytonmodelrama.com. Camping in the parking lot is no longer allowed (by the state of Ohio). See website for reservation process.
There are two ways to reserve tables, I’ve attached a manual form that can be completed and mailed with a check (payable to Dayton Wingmasters).You can complete and mail it now and it will be processed on the 1st.Note, tables cannot be reserved until payment is received.

March Dayton Modelrama Update – April 26th & 27th.

25+ Years a GIANT!

It seems appropriate that NCAA March Madness is right around the corner. Dayton Modelrama has its own version of March Madness. For years, the last 30-45 days prior to the event are our busiest times with people reserving their table(s). In 2022 we sold 105 tables 30 days before the show (we don’t have that many tables left for this year). If you have an interest in getting a table(s) this year, I encourage you to place your order now. You have two ways to get registered, the preferred method is to go on-line and reserve your tables. You can purchase a table(s) or get more information at www.daytonmodelrama.com The second method is to complete the attached registration form and to mail it in with your check. To insure you get a table, register now!

Look at your hanger, do you have merchandise just collecting dust that could be sold? Did you know you can get a two-day table rental for as little as $28, and that includes your $10 entrance ticket to one of the larger RC Swap Meets in the country (one admission ticket per table rented). Let’s face it, it doesn’t a lot of merchandise to earn back that $28 and you’ll have two days to shop for that something new you’ve been looking for. In addition, you can participate in a huge auction on Saturday as either a seller or bidder (or both).

Like every year, we’ll have great door and raffle prizes. There will be concessions and two ATM machines on the premises. The AMA will have a booth, including the AMA Flight Simulator Trailer. We’ll have a number of vendors with great merchandise at great prices.

Message to Vendors / Manufacturers and Distributors - You can get in as a sponsor for as little as $100 in merchandise donations and up. As an Affiliate Sponsor you will get special recognition, including signage and call outs during the show. Your merchandise will be used for door prizes. Last Update / April 2022 Dayton Modelrama

As of today, there are only 32 days left until Dayton Modelrama 2022. This will be the last update going out this year to Past Attendees, Clubs, and Vendors. As with previous Modelrama events, we will see a rush of table reservations come in during these last 30 days, in this past week we’ve received orders for 40 tables. We’re bringing this to your attention because there are still tables available, but I urge you to reserve now to insure you get a spot. Last year we reserved 95 tables in the last 30 days prior to the event.

If you are not reserving a table, but you’ll be attending as a patron, make sure April 29th and the 30th are on your calendar. We’ll have hundreds of vendor and swap tables, numerous vendors with their latest products. You’ll find all things RC, airplanes, helicopters, drones, RC boats and cars, plus all radio brands and models. You’ll also find building and field equipment.

Visit our webpage www.daytonmodelrama.com, you’ll see the latest information and you can reserve and pay for your table(s) online. As a reminder, table assignments are made in the order payment is received.

March Dayton Modelrama Update

As of March 7th we are 52 days out from Dayton Modelrama. From now until the show date, the pace for table reservations will pick up dramatically. Based on our current reservation log and the data from the 2021 show, we should be looking at a sell-out. Last year we had 350 vendor and swapper tables, this year we have reserved 45 tables more than last year at the same time, with over 200 tables. From this time last year to the 2021 show date, we received orders for nearly 200 tables. This clearly indicates that most orders come in as we approach show-time. if we stay at the same pace as last year we will sell out.

I encourage you to get your table reservations in now before they’re gone. Another reason to act now is that tables prices will increase by $3 per table and beginning April 17th we’ll begin assigning tables. Table assignments are made in the order payment is received. I encourage you not to miss out on one of the larger RC Swap Meet and Manufacturer Expo in the country. It’s a great opportunity to clear out your hanger and look for merchandise you’ve been wanting. To the many manufacturers and distributors, Dayton Modelrama is a cost-effective way to get in from of your customers and potential new customers.

February Dayton Modelrama Update: As of Sunday’s date, February 13, Table reservations are exceeding the 2021 pace by 69%! What you need to know is that the last two months are traditionally when reservations start coming in at a much faster pace. If you’re considering reserving a table, I encourage you to do it soon before they’re gone. Over ½ of the reservations arrive in March and early April There is still time to specify interior or wall tables and choose building 1 or building 2. Booths are still available in building 1. Last year there were 350 reserved tables and booths, we’re working to exceed that number this year.

One day table reservations start at $22 (interior) or you can reserve a table for both days for $26 (an $18 savings, so why wouldn’t you?). Wall tables and booths are slightly higher. Each table includes one General Admission ticket (a $10 savings). Reserve 8 tables or more and receive a 10% discount.

Patrons: If you’ll be attending as a patron, you’ll find great buys of everything RC, including new and used models and equipment. Visit our vendors and see their latest products and find out what’s trending. You’ll have the opportunity to meet with representatives from the AMA to see what lies ahead with Remote ID or answer general questions. Our vendors typically run “show specials” so be prepared to buy!
