has us feeling especially grateful for everything that makes the place it is — and for the people who continue to believe in its future❤️
Over the past three years, we’ve welcomed some incredible additions to our downtown:
⚾ Meritus Park, home of the Hagerstown Flying Boxcars
🎶 Live at Hub City Vinyl, bringing TWO live music venues and incredible entertainment to the heart of our city
🍺 Hub City Brewery, creating a new gathering place for our community and bringing back the historic Farmers Market
🏙️ The Updegraff, adding new downtown living and new neighbors to our community
🎤And just last night, the historic The Maryland Theatre 🎭 welcomed Jerry Seinfeld to Hagerstown.
But the heart of downtown Hagerstown has always been its people.
We’re thankful for the countless new AND longtime businesses that fill our storefronts, serve our community and give downtown its personality. Behind so many of those doors are small business owners and families who took a chance on a dream — and who show up every day to make it work.
Running a small business takes long hours, hard work, sacrifice, creativity and a whole lot of dedication. And while these entrepreneurs put in the work, it takes a community to help them thrive🫶🏼
As we head into Labor Day weekend, we hope you’ll think about the people working hard right here in our community. Spend a day in downtown. Grab a coffee. Enjoy a meal. Browse a shop. Catch a game or some live music. Discover somewhere new — or visit an old favorite.
Every purchase, visit, recommendation, share and kind word makes a difference.
This Thursday, we’re thankful for the investment, the growth, the dreamers, the doers — and everyone who continues to show up for Hagerstown❤️
