Big thanks to our friends at the Hagerstown Police Department for spending the afternoon with our girls! 💙
They got a behind-the-scenes look at what a career in law ended can look like— from learning how the officers found their way into the field to getting an honest look at their experiences as women working in a traditionally male-dominated industry.
Of course, there was plenty of fun along the way: a Police Edition game of True or False, exploring the officers’ gear, checking out a police cruiser, and leaving with some pretty cool HPD swag!
We love giving girls the chance to meet women doing all kinds of work and see that there are so many different paths they can take!
Thank you HPD for being in her corner and helping her imagine what’s possible! 💙❤️

We are lucky to have empowering mentors like Mr. Tyree who help our girls grow into kind and caring individuals who know how to step in when they see someone being treated unfairly. Remember to always be kind ❤️

From the great migration to milkweed, our girls gained the knowledge they need to help protect this vulnerable species in Ms. Lydia’s Wilderness Warriors class!

A huge thank you to Brittany and the incredible team at Children In Need, Inc. for making sure kids across Washington County have what they need to start the school year feeling confident, prepared, and cared for.

A new pair of shoes might seem like a small thing, but for a child, it can mean so much — a little extra confidence walking into school, something new to feel proud of, and the comfort of knowing their community is showing up for them. And for families, it’s one less expense and one less thing on an already full plate.

This is the kind of community we’re so proud to be part of. Organizations coming together, sharing resources, filling gaps, and making sure our children and families have a village behind them.

Thank you, Children In Need, for the incredible work you do and for being such an important part of that village. Washington County is better because of partners like you. ❤️
