Remembering Judge Wilkinson

Today, the Maryland Judiciary remembers the late Washington County Circuit Court Judge Andrew Wilkinson. Judge Wilkinson was a dedicated public servant who devoted his life to upholding the rule of law and serving his community and family.

The Maryland legislature passed the Judge Andrew F. Wilkinson Judicial Security Act in 2024 (Chapters 414/415) which provides enhanced protections for justices, judges, their families, and other protected individuals. On August 6, 2024, the circuit courthouse in Hagerstown was renamed in Judge Wilkinson’s honor.
