How to cleanse a statue / sacred effigy:
Step 1: Figure out what it is made of, please don't wash water-soluble statues.
Choose from the following:
- bathe statue with well researched and dedicated mild soap as an act of service ( again, figure out if soap ingredients and your statue will mix without harming the statue)
- Use preferred cleansing smoke ( Sage, Cedar, Pine, Palo Santo, and so on) to do the job
- Use Smoke from incense blend procured or produced especially for your worship of her
- Use salt ( if salt will not harm the statue), bury for 3 days to cleanse lingering energies, or built up spiritual "dirt"
- Place in a crystal grid with some or all of the following: Numite, Hematite, Obsidian, Tiger Iron ( On one end) and Selenite, Amethyst, Rose Quartz, Sunstone, Shiva Lingum (on the other).
You are creating a dipole current here with the statue in the center. The first set of stones ( Hematite, Numite, Obsidian) are grounding stones that will pull on the energies currently in the statue and bring them to ground. Bonus points if this pole is in a bowl of salt. The other end, with the remaining stone set( Selenite, Amethyst, etc) will filter the energy drawn in and change it to match their functions. In this case, the energy that is drawn in by the vacuum ( think hot and cold air currents) will be colored by the first set of stones and wash over the statue as the flow of energy draws towards the grounding stones. Bonus points if this pole is awash in some energy source ( sunlight, moonlight, next to charged crystals), though ambient energy will collect and do the trick. You may have to prime the pump by charging the positive pole or by drawing energy through the grounding stones and into your ground. That should sort.....well, a number of applications.... but it will definitely help those of you who had to get the Tibetan Rock Salt Statue.
That whole setup works better if you circle each pole, the statue, and draw conduit lines between them to establish a physical path. Depending on your tradition, you may use Salt, Chalk Dust, Red Brick Dust, Red Ocre, and so on. The point here is to use something sacred, out of its mundane function and that can pass energy. Different stones will produce different results, please research stones thoroughly for bad interactions.
