We have made the difficult decision to cancel the 2026 Relay For Life of Tulsa Metro.

Due to capacity limitations within the planning team, we’re not able to move forward in a way that would deliver the experience we had envisioned for our participants, survivors, and caregivers. While this was not an easy call, it’s the right one given the circumstances.

Relay First Lap takes place this Saturday, January 10—a day when Relayers around the world walk their very first lap of Relay 2026 and make or renew their commitment to Relay For Life. You can participate on your own or alongside team members, family, or friends.

began with one volunteer’s vision to recommit to Relay For Life and invite others to do the same. What started with Joe Gillette has now grown into a global movement. Each year, on the first or second Saturday of the New Year, Relayers worldwide come together to walk their first lap of the season.

Everyone is invited to carry on Joe’s vision simply take your first steps of the Relay season on January 10 and register the 2026 Relay For Life event if you haven't already done so.

Getting involved is easy: walk your first Relay lap of the year, and share your photos on Facebook by tagging .

We can’t wait to see your photos and to see you at the 2026 Relay For Life of Tulsa Metro!!
