Meet newlyweds Danielle and Jeremy (and of course, their adorable corgi, Butters)!

The Hill family has been an incredible part of the Children In Need story for over 13 years. Through countless volunteer hours, reading to students during meal machine, clothing drives, special events, advocacy efforts, and unwavering support, they have helped ensure that thousands of children in Washington County have access to the essentials they need to thrive.

So it came as no surprise to us that Danielle and Jeremy chose to share their generosity on one of the most important days of their lives. They hosted a donation drive at their wedding, collecting clothing and other essential items for the children we serve.

To know that they were thinking about our kiddos while celebrating such a special milestone is truly inspiring. Their kindness is a beautiful reflection of the love, compassion, and community spirit that they embody.

We are incredibly grateful to Danielle and Jeremy for their thoughtful support, and we're sending our warmest congratulations as they begin this exciting new chapter together.

Congratulations, Danielle and Jeremy! And a special shoutout to Butters for being the cutest member of the wedding party

At Children In Need, Inc., we are incredibly fortunate to have community partners who consistently step up for local children, and Pen-Mar Realtors is one of those organizations.

This week, members of their team volunteered alongside our Warehouse Coordinator, Lori Barnes, helping sort through clothing donations that will soon make their way into the hands of children and families who need them most.

Whether it's lending a hand, supporting our programs, or showing up when our community needs them, Pen-Mar Realtors always finds a way to make a difference. Their ongoing commitment helps ensure that thousands of children in Washington County have access to clothing, shoes, and other essentials throughout the year.

Thank you, Pen-Mar Realtors, for your generosity, your time, and for always showing up for our kiddos. We are grateful to have you in our corner.

One of our favorite memories from a past shoe distribution event involved a child who arrived wearing shoes that had clearly seen many adventures. The child had grown, the shoes had been loved well, and it was simply time for a new pair. For a family in poverty, purchasing new shoes can be a daunting task.

One of our volunteers helped them find a pair that fit just right.

The change was immediate.

The child couldn't stop smiling. They walked around proudly showing off their new shoes, excited for the school year ahead. You could see their confidence grow with every step.

For many families, keeping up with growing children can be challenging. Kids outgrow shoes quickly, and the cost of replacing them can add up fast. That's why events like Soles of Hope: Wild Wild West are so important.

Every dollar raised and every new pair of shoes donated helps local children start the school year with comfort, confidence, and dignity. What may seem like a simple pair of shoes can make a world of difference to a child.

We hope you'll join us at Soles of Hope and help us ensure that every child has the opportunity to walk into school feeling ready to learn, grow, and succeed. Early bird prices run now through July 31st so get your tickets from the link in the comments!

Every article of clothing, pair of shoes, coat, backpack, and hygiene item tells a story.

Behind every item is a child getting ready for school.

A parent trying to stretch a paycheck.

A grandparent raising grandchildren.

A family navigating homelessness.

A teenager aging out of difficult circumstances.

The items on our racks may look ordinary, but to the families who receive them, they can mean the difference between feeling invisible and feeling supported.

That is the power of community. That is the power of hope.
