The Alpha Chi Chapter of Psi Iota Xi is a fellowship of women dedicated to enhancing our community through initiatives in art, literature, music, and speech and hearing.

An evening of gratitude, recognition, and reflection. 💙💛

Our annual President's Dinner brought us together to celebrate another meaningful year of service and honor the sisters whose dedication helps our chapter thrive.

Two new members, Abbie Blaase and Janelle Richards, were initiated into Psi Iota Xi — a highlight of the evening. What a joy to welcome them into our sisterhood, and how fitting to do so surrounded by the women they'll serve alongside in the years ahead.

The night also shone a light on members whose dedication and commitment have made a meaningful impact on our chapter.

Adding to the evening's warmth, several honorary members joined the celebration. Their presence served as a beautiful reminder of the lasting legacy of friendship and service that continues to connect our chapter across generations.

Thank you to every member who helped make this year a success. Here's to another year of serving our community, supporting one another, and growing together!

🎓 One Year Later: Checking in with Our 2025 Scholarship Winners 🎓

Last year, we were proud to award Psi Iota Xi scholarships to Ella Logston and Drew Williamson. Now, after their first year of college, we loved hearing how they’ve grown, explored, and continued pursuing their passions.

Ella just completed her first year at Ball State University, where she is studying Media Design and Development to become a UX designer. She shared how much she’s enjoyed the creativity and problem-solving her field offers, along with the independence and personal growth that comes with college life. Ella also shared how meaningful it was to receive a scholarship from an organization rooted in service and community. As someone who values giving back and staying community-driven, she said the scholarship not only supported her financially but also reminded her of the importance of staying involved and continuing to make a positive impact.

Drew wrapped up his first year at Purdue University in First-Year Engineering and is planning to pursue Agricultural and Biological Engineering. Inspired by both his coursework and his roots in Hagerstown, Drew has found his direction and is enjoying the connections and opportunities college has brought his way. He shared that receiving the scholarship reminded him that others believe in his future and want to support his path.

We are so proud of both Ella and Drew and all they’ve accomplished in just one year. It’s a joy to see their hard work continue to unfold.

For future applicants, their advice is simple: pursue every opportunity, stay dedicated, and trust yourself and your path.

Congratulations again, Ella and Drew. We can’t wait to see what’s ahead for you both. 🌟

We are honored to share a special tribute to one of our beloved sisters, Debbie Soliday. 💙

A memorial bench now sits outside the Trustee’s Office in town in her honor, made possible by the donations given to our sorority at the time of her passing. It stands as a quiet reminder of Debbie’s kindness, her generous heart, and the joy she brought to those around her.

Debbie had a way of making people feel seen, welcomed, and cared for—something our sisterhood will always carry with us. It’s our hope that this bench offers a place to pause, reflect, and remember not just her life, but the love she shared so freely.

Debbie, you are deeply missed and forever a part of us.

Thank you to all of the Hagerstown seniors who applied for the Psi Iota Xi scholarships this year. We are so proud of the incredible students in our community and the bright futures ahead of you!

Our recipients will be announced and recognized at the Senior Night Banquet, where we’ll have the honor of presenting this year’s scholarships in person!

🍫 Now THAT was a golden performance! 🎭

Bravo to the Nettle Creek Schools: Act I production of W***y Wonka Jr.! The hard work, creativity, and dedication from everyone involved made the show a truly sweet success. Your talent shone brightly in both performances—you should all be incredibly proud.

We were grateful to support the event by volunteering at the ticket and candy gram booths. Thank you to our Psi Iota Xi sisters who generously gave their time to help! 💙
