Lola endured a terrible weekend, having sustained a broken leg a week earlier and been found under a building, and later becoming ill from a botfly. Despite her small size, she demonstrated remarkable strength and has since almost fully recovered from her botfly illness. We feel privileged to have this tiny yet resilient kitten.

Please meet Lola, a lucky animal who was found by a kind lady while cutting grass. Unfortunately, Lola has sustained a confirmed broken leg; however, the injury appears to be healing, and our veterinarian has recommended that we give Lola time to recover. If her leg does not heal properly, amputation may be discussed. Despite her injury, Lola is a small but mighty animal who is eating well and is otherwise healthy. Lola is available for adoption and is looking for a loving family. We are thankful that Lola was found. If you would like to donate towards her medical expenses, please contact Highland Veterinary Clinic and donate under Stray Hearts and Rescue, or donate directly through our PayPal.

We are pleased to introduce Tom, a stray cat rescued from an abandoned apartment complex. Thanks to the efforts of a dedicated follower, we were able to locate Tom and provide him with necessary assistance. A veterinary examination revealed that Tom requires a leg amputation due to a pre-existing injury. The veterinarian's assessment suggests that Tom has been living outdoors for several months, fending for himself. We are fortunate that one of our followers brought Tom to our attention, enabling us to provide him with medical care. We are currently seeking donations to cover the $600 cost of Tom's surgery. Contributions can be made directly to us or to Highland Veterinary Clinic under the name Stray Hearts Animal Rescue for Tom's benefit. As Tom adjusts to life indoors, he is gradually learning to appreciate the comforts of a warm couch and human companionship, demonstrating his sweet and deserving nature.
