Father,
We come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up both the victim’s family and the offender’s family. In the midst of pain, grief, confusion, and loss, we ask for Your peace that surpasses all understanding to surround them.
Lord, comfort the Metcalf family as they mourn. Hold them close in their sorrow, strengthen them in their weakness, and remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted. Bring healing to the wounds that words cannot reach and grant them the grace needed for each day.
We also pray for the Anthony family. Father, they too may be carrying grief, shame, fear, and heartache. Surround them with Your mercy and compassion. Help them find strength in You as they navigate difficult emotions and uncertain days.
Lord, where there is anger, bring peace. Where there is bitterness, bring healing. Where there is despair, bring hope. We ask that Your love would meet each family exactly where they are and that Your presence would be felt in their homes and hearts.
Give wisdom to those offering support, courage to those facing difficult days ahead, and comfort to all who have been affected by this tragedy. May Your peace guard their hearts and minds, and may Your healing hand bring restoration in ways only You can.
