We are officially COUNTING DOWN to Pet-A-Palooza!!!

We’ll be at Pet-A-Palooza in Ballston Spa next Saturday (June 20th) from 10–3 with some of our adorable kittens — and they’ll be ready to go home that day.

If you’ve been thinking about adopting, this is such a fun chance to meet some really sweet kittens in person… and maybe leave with your new best friend!

🐾 MEET FLORIDA MOM 🐾

My name is Florida Mom.
I’m only about a year old, and I’ve been waiting six months for someone to choose me.
I’ve watched kittens get adopted. I’ve watched other cats leave for their forever homes.
And somehow, I’m still here.
I’m a sweet girl who gets along well with other cats. I would likely do well with children, too. I don’t know much about dogs, but I’m willing to give friendship a chance. I am polydactyl.

I dream of having a family of my own—a sunny window, a soft bed, and someone to love me forever.
Please don’t overlook me because I’m not a tiny kitten anymore. I have so much love left to give.

🐾 PSA: Please Stop Giving Away Unfixed Kittens for Free 🐾

We know it often comes from a place of kindness, but taking in kittens and quickly rehoming them without veterinary care is not rescue, it can unintentionally contribute to the pet overpopulation crisis.

True rescue is about breaking the cycle.

When experienced rescue organizations like Amsterdam Kitten Adoption step in, the goal is not simply to find kittens a home. The goal is to ensure they receive the care they need and do not contribute to future litters.

Responsible rescue includes:

• Leaving kittens where they are until it is confirmed that mom is not caring for them
• Providing veterinary care, including vaccines, flea treatment, deworming, and health evaluations
• Spaying and neutering before adoption whenever possible
• Carefully screening adopters to ensure a safe, lifelong home

When kittens are given away without being vaccinated or spayed/neutered, the cycle often continues. One unaltered cat can lead to countless more kittens entering shelters, rescues, and already overcrowded communities.

If you find kittens, please reach out to a local rescue organization before attempting to rehome them yourself. Together, we can create lasting solutions, not just temporary ones.

Every kitten deserves more than a home today. They deserve a future that helps prevent more kittens from suffering tomorrow.

We still have male neutering appointments for Tuesday June 2nds clinic. The cost is $130 for surgery, rabies and revolution. Drop off in amsterdam is 620 am at Rite Aid 149 Market Street pick up at 445pm or in Schenectady at 720 am at Towne Bowling Academy 1601 Altamont Ave pick up at 345pm. All cats need to be in a HARD carrier with their name, s*x and color on them. If you’d like to get on this schedule TEXT 518-265-2842.
