The Haddon Heights Garnets lost to Governor Livingston on Monday, June 8, 2026.
They finished the season 20-8 and as NJSIAA Group 2 South Sectional Champions.
We thank them for everything they gave us this season.
We congratulate the players, coaches, families, and everyone who supported this team for a season we will never forget.
These are my thoughts as the 2026 season comes to an end.
They will always be Champions.
The box scores will eventually be forgotten.
The standings will fade.
Even the championship trophy will someday sit in a display case collecting dust.
But the memories will last forever.
They will always remember
what it felt like playing for the
2026 Group 2 South Sectional Champions,
Haddon Heights HS Baseball Team.
They will remember the joy of winning the Group 2 South Championship against Haddonfield, on Haddonfield’s field, and the dogpile that followed.
They will remember Kevin Clark setting the tone and always coming through when it mattered most.
They will remember Kevin Clark’s 100th hit—a Grand Slam against Haddon Township.
They will remember Jaxon Motta delivering clutch hit after clutch hit, and his two home runs against Northern Burlington.
They will remember Jake Dillon shutting the door all season and closing out the championship victory against Haddonfield.
They will remember Richard Farruggia’s grit, his great play at first base, and his three-hit games against Audubon and Northern Burlington.
They will remember Cole Simon pounding the strike zone, dominating on the mound and at the plate, and saving his best performance for the championship game against Haddonfield.
They will remember Ryan Govito’s five-hit day against Schalick and his outstanding defense all season long.
They will remember Jackson Butler’s speed and his four-RBI day against Mastery Camden.
They will remember Ben Alexander’s six-RBI game against Burlington Township and his Grand Slam against Timber Creek.
They will remember Carter Zetusky’s sweet swing, his 11 doubles, and his five-RBI day against Mastery Camden.
They will remember Andrew Weag’s strong pitching all season, his five wins, and his eight-strikeout performance against Pennsville.
They will remember Collin Camarote’s two-run home run against Collingswood and his stellar defense at 2nd base.
They will remember Brady McFadden’s emergence and his nine-strikeout performances against Paulsboro and Triton.
They will remember Dakotah Spisak battling through 98-degree heat and giving six strong innings against Haddon Township for the W.
They will remember CJ Lovelidge stepping up and earning the win against Cedar Creek.
They will remember the weight room.
They will remember the bus rides.
They will remember the practices.
They will remember the laughs in the dugout.
They will remember what it felt like to be 15, 16, 17, and 18 years old on a warm May afternoon, playing baseball with their best friends and teammates.
And one day, when our sons are watching the 2046 Haddon Heights HS Baseball team, he’ll turn to his children and say:
“That was us.”
Twenty years from now,
the score won’t matter very much.
The feeling will.
Because championships are won on the field.
But RockBall lives forever in the memories.
