Since March, our Scouts have strengthened their skills, earned merit badges, and served their community with dedication. During this Court of Honor, they shared what they learned from their merit badges, highlighting the experiences that helped them grow. One Scout advanced in rank, and parents looked on with pride as Troop 5 celebrated the hard work, progress, and character shown by every member, supported by the leaders who guide them.

Troop 5 had a busy day of service, starting with their participation in the Memorial Day Color Guard. Our Scouts stood with pride and respect as they honored the men and women who gave their lives for our country. Immediately afterward, they headed straight to the Carnival Clean Up, working together to restore the grounds after a busy weekend of fun. Their dedication, teamwork, and willingness to serve—back‑to‑back—truly show what Troop 5 is all about.

On Wednesday afternoon, Scouts from Holy Trinity Troop 5 and Cub Scout Pack 5 honored the brave men and women who served our country by placing a total 1,008 American flags on Veterans’ graves at Hackensack Cemetery and St. Joseph’s Cemetery in preparation for Memorial Day 2026.

This annual tradition is a meaningful reminder of the sacrifices made by our Veterans and an opportunity for our Scouts to show respect, gratitude, and service to the community.

Thanks to the American Legion and VFW for providing the Flags.

We remember and honor all who served. Thank you for your sacrifice.

Troop 5 enjoyed a fantastic camping trip at Lake Tiorati, filled with outdoor skills, teamwork, and plenty of fun. The Scouts cooked a hearty breakfast of sausage, bacon, and eggs, fueling up for a full day of activities. A special thank‑you goes out to the dad who generously donated the bacon — the boys definitely appreciated it.

The Scouts also gathered and prepped wood for the evening campfire, working together to keep the campsite running smoothly.

Later, the troop visited the West Point Museum, where the boys explored military history, viewed impressive artifacts, and learned more about the legacy of West Point.

It was a great mix of learning, adventure, and camaraderie — a memorable outing for everyone.
