Our mission is to be an instrument of God to bring motivation and change to the lives of people who are without God, without hope, and in vulnerable situations. With the participation of our team of missionaries/volunteers, we will strive daily to provide optimism and the necessary faith for a future filled with hope and liberation from the bonds of sin. With God's guidance and direction, we will have families capable of giving back to their community all the blessings they have received and be the difference in their society. Our Goal
Our goal is, with the help of God and our brothers in Christ, to improve the quality of life for every family in the communities where our ministry would be present, through the powerful message of God's Word and social assistance, always guided by the Holy Spirit for the glory of God the Father. Nuestra Visión es predicar, esparcir el Evangelio y cumplir con el mandato de La Gran Comisión dado por Jesús a sus discípulos. Ser canal de bendición y fuente de inspiración basados en los principios bíblicos de dar en gracia lo que por gracia hemos recibido de nuestro Dios. Ayudando a familias y comunidades a ser transformadas a través del gran amor de nuestro Dios que sobre pasa todo entendimiento. Nuestra misión es ser instrumento de Dios para producir motivación y cambio en las vidas de las personas que están sin Dios, sin esperanza y en situación de vulnerabilidad. Con la participación de nuestro equipo de misioneros/voluntarios lucharemos diariamente para proveer optimismo y la fe necesaria de un futuro lleno de esperanza y de liberación de las ataduras del pecado. Our History
The Ministerio Caritas Gozosas is a non-profit organization that is born from the missionary work of doctors Ivonne & Emilio Hernandez and their children, Ashley, Steven and Kimberly whom started to work with boys and girls in 2003 in the neighborhoods of Miramar and later on in Toconal, Playa del Mu**to, Japón, Filipinas, Las Flores, El Faro y La Piedra sectors, all located in San Pedro de Macorís, Dominican Republic from the driveway of their home. Originally this ministry went by the name of Inmenso Gozo where the work consisted in working with boys and girls and their parents, providing christian education, medical and social assistance. In 2007 a transition was established to a sponsorship program named Ministerio Caritas Gozosas since the time had come that the Hernandez Family needed to return to the USA, but before leaving God provided Calvary Baptist Church in the city of Hackensack, NJ whom under the motivation of Pastor Abel Castañeda incorporated several sponsors, being them the first to donate their monthly gift so the ministry could initiate. This sponsorship program ran until July 4, 2017 and it benefited more than 60 boys and girls who received all the support to develop physically, spiritually and intellectually through more than 60 sponsors, institutions and individuals whom kept their interest and effort in helping the boys and girls. This program was suspended to give way to a broader and more participatory global and local missionary project for communities in need. Our new objectives include as a priority that every child, youth and adult experiences the transforming and powerful love of our God regardless of race, culture or social level. We thank God for having provided a group of international volunteers willing to give in grace what we have received by grace. Nuestra Historia
El Ministerio Caritas Gozosas es una organización sin fines de lucro que nace del trabajo misionero de los doctores Ivonne & Emilio Hernández y sus hijos, Ashley, Steven y Kimberly quienes comenzaron a trabajar con niños y niñas en el 2003 en el barrio Miramar y posteriormente los sectores Toconal, Playa del Mu**to, Japón, Filipinas, Las Flores, El Faro y La Piedra todos en San Pedro de Macorís, Republica Dominicana desde la marquesina de su casa. Originalmente este ministerio tuvo como nombre Inmenso Gozo en donde se trabajaba con niños y niñas y sus padres proveyendo educación cristiana, asistencia médica y social. Teniendo la oportunidad de abarcar aproximadamente 500 familias. En el 2007 se estableció la transición a un programa de patrocinio llamado Ministerio Caritas Gozosas dado que la Familia Hernández debía regresar a los Estados Unidos de Norteamérica, pero antes de su partida Dios proveyó a la Iglesia Bautista El Calvario en la ciudad de Hackensack, NJ, quienes bajo la motivación del pastor Abel Castañeda incorporo a varios patrocinadores siendo estos los primeros en aportar las primeras donaciones para que el ministerio iniciara. Este programa de patrocinio estuvo funcionando hasta el Julio 4 del 2017 y en el mismo se beneficiaron más de 60 niños y niñas que recibieron todo el apoyo para que se desarrollaran física, espiritual e intelectualmente a través de más de 60 patrocinadores, instituciones y personas particulares que mantuvieron su interés y esfuerzo en ayudar a los niños y niñas. Este programa fue suspendido para dar inicio a un proyecto misionero de carácter global y local más amplio y participativo para las comunidades en necesidad. Nuestros nuevos objetivos incluyen como prioridad que cada niño, joven y adulto experimente el amor transformador y poderoso de nuestro Dios no importando raza, cultura ni nivel social. • We believe that the Bible is the word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit useful to teach, to rebuke, to correct and to instruct in righteousness so that the man of God may be perfect, fully prepared for every good work (2 Timothy 3: 16-17).
• We believe that we were created in the image and likeness of God, that we fell into sin and that we have a profound need to reconcile ourselves to Him through Jesus Christ.
• We believe in the Trinity, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit.
• We believe in the crucifixion and death of Jesus, in his blood shed on the cross of Calvary for the forgiveness of our sins, in his glorious resurrection and in his powerful second coming.
• We believe in the Great Commission given by our Lord Jesus Christ to go and preach the gospel to every creature, whoever believes and is baptized will be saved, but whoever does not believe will be condemned (Mark 16: 15-16).
• We believe that the Holy Spirit is the Comforter that convinces us of sin and judgment, and also makes us live victorious lives in God.
• We believe in the resurrection of the believer for eternal life as stated in the Bible. En lo que creemos
• Creemos que la Biblia es la palabra de Dios, inspirada por el Espíritu Santo útil para enseñar, para redargüir, para corregir y para instruir en justicia a fin de que el hombre de Dios sea perfecto, enteramente preparado para toda buena obra (2 Timoteo 3:16-17).
• Creemos que fuimos creado a imagen y semejanza de Dios, que caímos en pecado y que tenemos una profunda necesidad de reconciliarnos con El a través de Jesucristo.
• Creemos en la Trinidad, Dios Padre, Dios Hijo y Dios Espíritu Santo.
• Creemos en la crucifixión y muerte de Jesús, en su sangre vertida en la cruz del Calvario para perdón de nuestros pecados, en su resurrección gloriosa y en su poderosa segunda venida.
• Creemos en la Gran Comisión dada por nuestro Señor Jesucristo de ir y predicar el evangelio a toda criatura, el que creyere y fuere bautizado será salvo, pero el que no cree será condenado (Marcos 16: 15-16).
• Creemos que El Espíritu Santo es El Consolador que nos convence de pecado y juicio, además nos hace vivir vidas victoriosas en Dios.
• Creemos en la resurrección del creyente para vida eterna como lo afirma la Biblia.
