Just got a call from one of the sponsors of a hanging banner about this year's Hacienda Heights 4th of July Parade. I'm here to inform everyone. There will be no parade this year. The parade committee came to the community at a HHIA meeting in January seeking a new sponsor for the parade and seeking new people to replace the members of the committee that were retiring. Nothing came of this. The current parade committee held a few more meetings and voted to disband. There was mention that someone was going to organize a 4th of July Festival and to have a 10x10 information booth to try to organize a parade for next year. To my knowledge nothing has come of that. So please enjoy your 4th of July with your family. I'm sorry it won't include a local parade this year.
