Did you know…there is a Little Library on Gwynn’s Island? It’s right in front of the Museum and is stocked full of both adult and children’s books! Bring a book…take a book…it’s free! Titles change all the time. Please don’t over-stuff or leave books outside. AND while you’re there visit Mr Tom and friends inside the library for some Island history.

In honor of teacher appreciation week we delivered snacks and drinks to all of our MCPS schools. As you can see we started having a little fun at our last stop. That’s what happens when you leave the party people unsupervised! We appreciate our teachers and staff for all they do throughout the year.

Get ready for our next Dine 2 Donate event! Tuesday, May 12 from 11am to close at Richardson's Cafe in Mathews. Dine in or take out. Proceeds buy back to school supplies for our MCPS classrooms. More info to follow!

Thanks to alll who attended our Dine 2 Donate at Howard-Dooley Cafe on this past Thursday. Final numbers aren’t in yet but we had an outstanding day despite the weather. We appreciate our community partners…Mathews Insurance, New Point Life Services, Oyster Seed Holdings/The Hatchery, Stewart’s Flooring & Tile. Oh the weather outside is frightful BUT the food at Howard-Dooley Cafe is so delightful. Get on over there all day to support our Mathews classrooms and students. Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom..... you get the idea. Nothing will stop the GICL Foundation and Howard-Dooley Cafe from raising funds for our MCPS classrooms & students! Get on over between 7am and 7pm to eat in or take out your meal today. Howard-Dooley Cafe is donating a portion of today's receipts to the GICL Foundation's scholarship & grant fund.
