LEADing for Life 2022 Global Summer Learning Institute (GSLI) Information Session is ONLY 13 Days away and we need your help with spreading the word about this amazing opportunity for rising high school seniors (current juniors). With your support, more scholars will have the chance to apply and participate in the GSLI Program next year.

Saturday, June 17th, members of NSBE, Jr. and 100 Strong Male and Female Role Models volunteered at the Juneteenth Celebration, sponsored by the Baltimore County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. Our combined members created and facilitated STEM activity tables. Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz and Delegates Adrienne Jones and Benjamin Brooks stopped by the tables. Get job all!

It's that time again!!! Baltimore DJ Zone presents: Summer Music Festival!!! Come out and enjoy a day of music by Baltimore's top deejays and fun for all ages: Sunday, June 25, 2017, noon to 8 PM! FREE food and soft drinks! Bring your folding chair or blanket, dance and enjoy the live music played. Again, this event is FREE and open to the public.

This year had some bumps and bruises. But somehow we still remained strong. We lost a few members and gained much more. Often, you think of quitting, then you think about why you started. Only the strong survive in dedication and service: "Leadership through achievement, cultural awareness and service" and " to support my sisters in all the endeavors in which we undertake" (taken from the male and female pledges respectively). We are 100 Strong Role Models!!!
Thanks to the support of our Advisors: Ms. Thurman, Ms. Chappelle, Ms. Arthur, and Mr. Bayeck. Special thanks to our partnerships with the Patapsco River Chapter of the Links Inc. and PTSA of WHS, President, Mr. Ramsey! Extra special thanks to our 100 Strong Alumni that stop by and continue to offer support to our efforts! You too are greatly appreciated.

Elections have been held for the2017- 2018 school year's 100 Strong officers. They're getting geared up and have started planning the next year. Congratulations to our new team!!

Youth Expo 2017: Young Lives Rise, You Live Up!!! A wealth of information shared to support our youth of today in our workshops and on our vendor floor. Plenty of food, free giveaways, and prizes! Special thanks to our sponsors: Trader Joes, Macys, Wegmans, Sam's Club, BJ'S Wholesale Warehouse, Safeway, Weis, Jersey Mikes, Chick-fil-A, Buffalo Wild Wings. Special thanks to our workshop presenters: Dr. Tamara Dulan, Debra Guzman (US Navy), Mrs. Donnice Brown, Mr. Vaughn Calloway and Ms. Pamela Stewart, Mrs. Marisol Johnson (State Farm Insurance), Dr. Calvert Moore (Planned Parenthood), Ms. Llauryn Iglehart-Howard, and Mr. Anthony White. About 100 Strong's contribution to Teacher Appreciation Week 2017... 100 Strong partnered with the PTSA cook and serve an impressive luncheon to end the week for the teachers and staff: fried oreos and fried bananas, hot dogs, chips , cold cuts, pizzas, sodas and waters . Teacher Appreciation Cards were created, by our members, and placed in all on the teacher's mailboxes. Great Job team!

Black College Expo 2017 field trip!!! Great time and an excellent experience for 100 Strong members and WHS students. Our 100 Strong team showed up and showed out at many of the breakout sessions: leadership, money for college, campus life for females, etc. We look forward to doing the same trip next year and receiving money for college!

Turkey Drive 2016!!! We were blessed with more than enough to feed our families on Thanksgiving. Also, we were blessed with a wonderful weather day to set up and easy pick up:: turkeys, stuffing, mac and cheese, potatoes, cranberry sauce, greens, ... you name it!!! Great job 100 Strong!
