💙This morning, our Foundation Board had the privilege of greeting all of our Guthrie Public Schools employees at their annual Convocation! Everyone received a customized clipboard as a small token of appreciation for the love and support they pour into our students. We are excited for the new school year and look forward to partnering with our educators and staff again this year! 📚🖍️✏️

The Guthrie Educational Foundation is excited to partner with the Oklahoma City Community Foundation to oversee the "Bill Perring Legacy Choir Endowment Fund." See the message below from Lexi Scaggs...

🎶💙 Calling all Guthrie High School choir friends (and anyone who ever heard us sing!) 💙🎶

If you had Bill Perring as a teacher, you already know this: he was hands down the best teacher I ever had. He didn’t just teach us music—he taught us excellence, discipline, joy, and what it meant to be part of something bigger than ourselves. Choir was home because of him.

That’s why I’m proud to announce the "Bill Perring Legacy Choir Endowment Fund" has been created. This is an endowment, meaning it’s designed to last forever—providing the GHS Choir Director with extra support every single year. It helps cover the little (and not‑so‑little) unexpected things that always come up, so the focus can stay where it belongs: on students and making great music.

Our goal is to raise $20,000 by May 1, and we’ll share the current fundraising total at the GHS Vocal Reunion Concert on Saturday, May 9 at 5 p.m. - with fundraising continuing beyond the concert as this legacy keeps growing.
