The American Legion LeBron Post 58 would like to thank the donor of this Military Order of the Purple Heart parking sign! Left on door.

This week the parking lot on the north of the building will get its stripes painted, and parking curbs and signs installed. What a nice addition to honor a wounded combat Veteran with a personalized parking space.

Heather Holeman surprised Legionnaire Max Warren during the Pay It 4Ward segment of KFOR's News Channel last week at American Legion LeBron Post 58 Guthrie, Oklahoma, after our friends Karen & George Privette submitted his story. Thank you First Fidelity Bank for your support spotlighting Max, who contributes positively to our community through his volunteerism at Post 58!

Why Boys State for America? Plank one of five.

You're invited.

There is a version of Boys State that people imagine, where you have to be the student body president or know somebody on a committee to get a seat. That is not this program. Every year over 400 young men come from towns of every size in Oklahoma, and a good number of them arrived thinking they were the least likely person in their school to be picked.

"I was actually terrified to come here. I was scared that I wouldn't fit in, scared to be without my family, friends, and girlfriend for a week. But once I got here and began talking to my fellow peers, I saw that I did have a place, I could be a leader, and I did matter." (2024 Delegate)

American Legion posts across Oklahoma sponsor delegates from their own communities every year. For a lot of families, that means the week costs them nothing.

Oklahoma American Legion Boys State. May 29 to June 5, 2027, at Rogers State University.

Legion posts and civic groups, sponsor a delegate from your community. Parents and counselors, nominate a junior who is ready for this.
