It’s been a busy and rewarding few days away from the office! Rachel spent the week attending YouthFest and the IAE4-YDP Professional Development Day, connecting with Extension professionals from across the state and gathering new ideas and inspiration to bring back to Guthrie County.

On Monday and Tuesday, Rachel participated in a variety of workshops and mini-sessions focused on professional development, collaboration, and new opportunities to better serve our youth. On Wednesday, she had the opportunity to tour the Meat Science Laboratory and Jack Trice Stadium at Iowa State University!

These experiences highlight the importance of continued learning, sharing ideas, and finding innovative ways to support our youth and strengthen our communities. 💚

Don’t worry — Rachel will be back in the office tomorrow! She’s excited to put these new ideas into action and get back to serving Guthrie County youth and families!

We are so proud of Rachel and the impact she has made on our 4-H youth, families, volunteers, and the Guthrie County community. Her dedication to creating opportunities for youth to learn, grow, and thrive truly represents the heart of 4-H!

💚 Tuesday – Thank a Volunteer
Take a moment to recognize a 4-H volunteer, sponsor, mentor, or supporter who makes a difference.

Our volunteers give their time, knowledge, and energy throughout the year to provide opportunities for youth to learn, grow, and develop new skills. Whether you are leading a club meeting, helping a 4-H member prepare a project, caring for the details behind a livestock show, serving on a committee, or simply being there to encourage a young person, your contributions make a difference.

Thank you for continuing to invest in the next generation and for helping make Guthrie County 4-H a place where youth can learn, lead, and belong. We are fortunate to have such a dedicated group of volunteers, and we are grateful for each of you.

🌟 Youth Leadership Retreat – November 1!🌟

Calling all 8th–12th grade youth from Boone, Carroll, Greene, and Guthrie Counties! Join us for a fun, hands-on afternoon focused on building confidence, teamwork, communication skills, and new friendships through interactive activities and challenges.
