To be the global leader in community and humanitarian service. The Guthrie Center Lions Club meets regularly on the 2nd and 4th Monday of each month at Noon at the following local churches:

May, June, Nov, Dec.........................Christian Church

ub holds regular activities and fundraisers to support such activities and organizations such as Avenue of the Flags, After-Prom, Guthrie County Youth Foundation, High School Yearbook, Guthrie Center Fire Department, Camp Herko Hollow (diabetes camp for youth), Relay for Life, Meals on Wheels, High School Senior lunch, International Peace Poster contest, Scholarships, Blood Drives, Iowa KidSight (free eye screening for area elementary and pre-k students), Iowa Lions Eye Bank, Iowa Cochlear Implant Center, Leader Dogs for the Blind and the Prison Puppy program, Iowa School for the Deaf, Iowa Lions Hearing Aid Bank, Iowa Lions Foundation, Lions Club International Foundation. Some of our regular fundraising activities include: Guthrie County Fair booth food stand, 3 on 3 basketball tournament, non-perishable food drives for local food banks, recycled cans collected at the local can redemption center, and the annual Hometown Foods shopping spree.

Did you all miss us? We haven't posted in 6 hours, so here we go again!!

Spotlight 9,493...for RAGBRAI riders heading into Guthrie Center:

1. Guthrie Center Lion's Club (Fairgrounds, near Bingo Stand) - If you're needing to carbo load, stop here for Spaghetti.

2. Casey Service Club (West side of City Hall, 400 State St.) - More carbo loading time!! Mac N' Cheese with millions of toppings! (ok, not millions, but to get the exact number, make time ๐Ÿ˜‚)

3. Guthrie County Cattleman (DG Parking lot, 400 State St.) - Want some Iowa grown beef? This is your stop. Steak Sandwiches and hamburgers for those hungry bellies.
