One simple act of kindness can change the way a girl sees herself.

We’re looking for businesses, churches, schools, families, teams, community groups, and individuals to host donation drives that support foster and adopted girls. Whether it’s a luggage drive, hygiene drive, sock drive, blanket drive, pillowcase drive, or your own creative collection, every donation reminds a girl that she matters.

Today is the day. 💜

Right now, somewhere a child is preparing to move from one home to another carrying everything they own. For too many children in foster care, that journey happens with their belongings packed in trash bags.

We can do better.

Join us today from 12 PM to 2 PM at Vicki Paddock Park in Gurnee and help us collect luggage for children entering foster care. A suitcase may seem like a small thing, but to a child, it can be a reminder that they matter, that they are seen, and that they are worthy of dignity and care.

🧳 Moving Forward with Dignity, Not Trash Bags.

When a young girl enters or transitions within the foster care system, she often has to pack her entire life into a black trash bag. It sends a message no child should ever hear: that their belongings, and they themselves, are disposable.

At Grit, Grace, and Glow, we believe every girl deserves to move toward her future with dignity, confidence, and hope.

That’s why we provide donated luggage that’s new or gently used to foster youth. It’s not just about a suitcase—it’s about giving her the grit to face the unknown, the grace to heal, and the glow that comes from knowing she is worthy and valued.
