Annual Business Luncheon, Wednesday, September 23.

Mayor Tom Hood and Ellen Dean, Economic Development Director for the Village of Gurnee, will present the state of business in Gurnee. Development underway, where growth is headed, and what it means for the businesses operating here.

Gurnee draws customers from across the region. What happens here reaches well past the village line, which is why this event is open to any business in Lake County, member or not.

The first hour is open networking with business owners and decision makers from across the county. Lunch and the presentation follow at noon.

Name one Gurnee business that deserves an award this year. It can be your own.

The Village of Gurnee is taking nominations for the Best of Gurnee Awards, and this year's deadline is Sunday, August 16.
Past winners include McClure's Garage, Gurnee Donuts, Tacos El Norte, Kaiser's Pizza, Riverside Cafe, and Great Wolf Lodge. Real Gurnee businesses, nominated by people who noticed.

Three categories:
🏠 Bringing Me Home for the business that does it right every time. Service is always good, the place looks sharp, and they keep investing in getting better.
🤝 Pay It Forward for the business that sponsors the team, hires the person who needed a shot, or shows up every time somebody needs help.
⭐ Special Needs Champion for the business that hires, trains, and builds real programs for the special needs community.

A few things worth knowing:
Anyone can nominate. You do not need to be a Chamber member and neither does the business.
Self-nominations are welcome. If you have earned it, put your own name in.
You do not need a long write-up. A few honest sentences is enough.

What a fantastic evening at our July Gurnee Chamber Mixer!

A huge thank you to American Legion Post 771 for opening your doors and hosting such a welcoming event. We also want to thank Weez's Groovin' BBQ for the incredible food, and everyone who joined us to network, build new relationships, and strengthen our local business community.

It's always inspiring to see so many business owners, professionals, and community leaders coming together to support one another. These connections are what make our Chamber and our community stronger.

We had a fantastic “Optimize Your Profile” workshop today at Gurnee Village Hall!

Members enhanced their Chamber profiles and got set up with MembersPlus, our new Chamber app available for iOS and Android.

It was great seeing local business owners take advantage of the additional visibility that comes with a fully optimized Chamber profile. If you missed today’s workshop, don’t worry. We’ll be hosting another session next month!
