Lake County Rugby Club was founded in fall of 1998 and is currently the only team in the Lake County area.. We are a non-profit organization with around 30 active members that fill up our roster for both the spring and fall seasons. We are currently a Division III team with the Chicago Area Rugby Football Union. We are a young and eager club with a very athletic group of guys all ready to push thi

s club to the next level. Not only are we an athletic club, but we are also members of the community and take great pride in giving back anyway we can. Grandwood Park community are staunch supporters and they continue to be a part of the foundation of our team. Stop by sometime and you will find us practicing and playing on our home field in Grandwood park (on the corner of Sterns School and Hutchins). This year we are hoping to reignite our team and the community with this sport of rugby. Mission Statement:
Our mission is to offer a rugby program for the athletes of Lake County and to become one of the best Midwest Rugby clubs. Our purpose is to enhance the physical, mental, and the moral development of rugby athletes and to display good sportsmanship and good citizenship.

The Coyotes head to Kenosha tomorrow, I know terribly long travel, first match at 9am vs Lake Zurich Maulers Youth Rugby followed by matches at 10:40 and 12:20. Come down to Kennedy Park in Kenosha! Also…. If there’s not donuts at the pitch tomorrow morning Kenosha Mammoths we will make sure Tuts truck is left on blocks near the pitch 👀

As always tournaments are subject to change at a moments notice, taken a real risk posting the schedule a week and some change early 🤣

Is there more rugby to be played after the three matches? OF COURSE! Per the schedule top 8 teams make it out of pool play and go to the playoffs.

Get a jog in, maybe a sprint or two, even a high knee and butt kicker, summer rugby is upon us!
