SUMMER CAMP Part 1
Glory to God for His wonderful works, His protection, and His great love. ❤️
Jacob’s Ladder Summer Camp is officially in the books, and what an incredible week it was! From worship and praise to fresh air, physical activity, crafts, games, singing, and hearing about the miracles of God, we watched joy grow and hope take root in the hearts of our students.
There were belly laughs, late-night conversations, muddy shoes, tired eyes, hands lifted in worship, and moments that reminded us God is still moving in the lives of young people. We are so thankful for the opportunity to spend this week investing in students and pointing them to Jesus.
This week was full of fun, faith, friendship, and unforgettable memories. 🌿

THANK YOU to this amazing group of Deloitte employees who spent their Day of Impact serving at Graces of Gurley!
They did a fabulous job trimming shrubs, spreading mulch, pressure washing, cleaning floors, and tackling maintenance projects inside our building. Their hard work and servant hearts were such a blessing to us and to everyone we serve.
We are incredibly grateful for their time, energy, and willingness to jump in wherever needed. Thank you for making a difference in our community!

THANK YOU to the Huntsville Handsfree Workcamp! ❤️
These amazing teenagers traveled all the way from Florida to serve our community, and we are so grateful for their willingness to jump in and help wherever needed.
They painted a brand new Four Square game in the parking lot, scrubbed and cleaned the tables and chairs used weekly by our Jacob’s Ladder students, and washed both of our vans inside and out. Because of their hard work, we’ll continue our summer with a fun new game, sparkling transportation, and refreshed spaces for our students.
Thank you for serving with joyful hearts and for loving our community so well. We appreciate you more than you know!

A huge thank you to Willowbrook Church for providing snacks and sleeping bags for camp this week! ❤️
Many of our students arrive without bedding, and these sleeping bags will help make sure they are warm, comfortable, and able to rest after long days filled with fun, worship, and time with friends.

It’s CAMP week! Our students will be heading to The Vision later this week, and we would love for you to join us in prayer.
Please pray for their safety, but even more importantly, pray for their hearts. Pray they will be open to the work of the Holy Spirit, the teaching of the Gospel, and a deeper understanding of what it means to be “Set Apart.”
God doesn’t simply call us to be good. He calls us to be holy. He created us in His image, and we can only reflect Him when we truly know Him.
“ But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; for it is written: ‘Be holy, because I am holy.’ ”

We are super excited to have Allison Dove back with us as our summer intern this year! ☀️
Allison brings enthusiasm, energy, joy, and a genuine love for Jesus into everything she does. From helping with day-to-day tasks to investing in relationships with our students, she is a tremendous blessing to our team and community.
More importantly, Allison helps our Jacob’s Ladder students know they are seen, heard, valued, and deeply loved. ❤️

Please consider donating your gently used items to help fund the Madison County Middle and High School cheerleaders. Tomorrow/Friday/May 29th is the LAST DAY to drop off items and you can take them directly to the little gym, behind the Graces of Gurley building.
