NAYF is a competitive football organization which operates under the direction of the 3
4 Districts. The program is one of the largest youth football program in North AL., South TN. & North West GA. with 110 teams, played in 34 cities and 8 counties NAYF prides itself in a rich tradition of success, with many of its teams winning local and regional championships through the years. We have had many players go on to win state high school championships, as well as participate at the collegiate and professional level. About Madison County Youth Football
Madison County Youth Football is a youth football organization that serves the communities that have children that attend Madison County Elementary and Middle School and Central School. We welcome children from other areas with the permission from their home youth organization, if that organization is a member of NAYF. Commonly Asked Questions:
What do the players need to provide? Mouthpiece (colored)
Athletic supporter and cup if applicable. Approximately the second (2nd) week in July
Where are practices located? MCHS practice field. What are the days and times of practice? Each head coach will make the team practice schedule. Most head coaches choose to practice on Mondays, Tuesdays,
Thursdays or Fridays from 6:000pm to 8:00pm. Practice duration times
are determined by the head coach and are subject to change from
practice to practice. When will games start? Usually the first (1st) or second (2nd) Saturday of August. How long is the season? Practices begin around the second (2nd) week of July, games start
about 3 weeks to 4 weeks later. Games are held every Saturday from
mid August to the first part of October. From that point, we have single
elimination playoffs that end in a championship game around the end
of October. What are the age groups? Division League Age (as of 31 Aug)
Rookies (Flag) 4-6
C Team 6-7
B Team 8-9
A Team 10-12
Are there any weight restrictions? The only weight restrictions in the league are those of the Specialty
Players. A Specialty player is defined as a player that can run or handle
the ball. There are no limits for players that are deemed as lineman. See below:
