There's no more fitting quote than this truth told by Bass Fishing Hall of Famer Mark Davis. The 40-year pro-tournament veteran teamed up with B&W Trailer Hitches partner Marshall Hughes for 31 pounds, 11 ounces - the day's best on the Potomac by almost 13 pounds.

Davis' career resume - the Bassmaster Classic win in 1995, the three Angler of the Year awards, the HOF induction in 2019 - can largely be attributed to his levelheaded, meticulous, steady attitude.

Revved up? Nah, never. Catching 'em? Pretty much all the time. Excellent quote, Mr. Davis.

Here’s a Banks Shaw fact that doesn’t feel real: He turns 23 years old today. The same Banks Shaw who won Angler of the Year and Rookie of the Year on the Pro Circuit last season, is in the lead to repeat AOY this weekend and has a Bass Pro Shops Bass Pro Tour win under his belt already in his rookie season at the top level of the sport. I guess what we’re saying is: We’re not wishing you any birthday luck at Champlain, Banks Shaw. You don’t need it. We are, however, wishing you a super happy birthday! 🎉👏
