PULSE Student Academy

Great start to this year's PULSE Student Academy! With over 100 Guntersville High School students signing up to participate, a group of 30 made the cut to advance their paths in teamwork, leadership, and personal growth.

Special thanks to Dr. Greg Randall and the leadership of Snead State Community College for hosting us with a classroom area and a tour of the state-of-the-art workforce development center.

We had a visit from Ms. Andrea Oliver, Executive Director of The Foundation for Marshall Medical Centers, who gave the students wonderful insight into the importance of community involvement.

We had a special guest speaker in Mr. Raymond, who gave us his story of why he was seeking an HVAC certification to support his personal business.

We started our overview of John Gordon's new book, The 7 Commitments of a Great Team. What a message it shares: "Teammates are forever."

Looking forward to next month's class and the opportunity to work with this group once again.

Another outstanding class of PULSE has concluded. We ended the year with a keynote address from Wildsparq and Fireseeds founder and CEO, Cord Sachs, who reminded our group that failure is acceptable as long as we promptly recover. We had 24 students who are dedicated to becoming better students, teammates, and future leaders. Our program's success is largely due to the contributions of exceptional individuals who generously share their time and expertise with our group. We extend our gratitude to all our guest speakers from this semester.

Kicked off another semester of PULSE Student Academy. A well diversified group-eager to become better leaders. We are excited to watch these young minds grow. This semester we will be covering “The Hard Hat” by John Gordon.
