📣 Get to know Michelle Robinson Eubank!

For Michelle, giving back is deeply personal.

After losing her sister, Jenna, to complications related to epilepsy, she and her family turned their grief into a mission to help others facing the same challenges by co-founding Jenna Robinson Charities, Mississippi's only epilepsy-focused nonprofit. Michelle is board secretary for the nonprofit, which raises awareness and supports families affected by epilepsy.

Michelle is also general sales manager at WXXV 25, serves on the Long Beach Chamber of Commerce Board as its 2027 chair-elect, and is participating in Leadership Gulf Coast.

Through the Young Philanthropist Cohort, she hopes to strengthen her nonprofit leadership skills and bring that knowledge back to Jenna Robinson Charities while continuing to serve her community.

“I have become increasingly interested in not simply participating in community organizations, but learning how to help them become stronger, more sustainable, and more effective.”

Children may feel confused or frightened when someone has a seizure. Giving them simple, age-appropriate information can replace fear with kindness and understanding.

Teach children to stay calm, speak gently and continue including friends who have epilepsy. Most importantly, if someone has a seizure or needs help, they should find a teacher, coach, parent or another trusted adult right away.

Children are not expected to manage an emergency. They simply need to know how to get help and how to be a caring friend.

Share this message with your family, classroom or children’s organization. Kindness and awareness can help every child feel safe, supported and included.

Paint with purpose and create something meaningful together.

Gather your family around the table, choose your colors and decorate a purple pumpkin for epilepsy awareness. Use the time to talk about why purple matters, learn something new and remember the individuals and families affected by epilepsy.

Your pumpkin does not have to be perfect. The time together, the conversation and the awareness you create are what truly matter.

When it is finished, display it proudly, take a picture and tag Jenna Robinson Charities so we can celebrate your family’s creation.

Need a little Purple Pumpkin inspiration?

Children can make it playful with dots, stars, hearts and bright colors. Families can add flowers, meaningful words or the name of someone they love. Businesses can create a polished display with stripes, ribbons and purple accents.

There is no wrong way to decorate your pumpkin. Make it fun. Make it personal. Make it meaningful.

When your pumpkin is finished, display it proudly, take a picture and tag Jenna Robinson Charities. We cannot wait to see how you make epilepsy awareness visible in your home, school or business.
