Join Anthropocene Alliance’s Get Out the Vote Forum as we prepare to make environmental justice a voting issue in 2026. On November 3, voters will choose leaders whose decisions affect clean air, safe water, public health, climate resilience, and whether polluters are held accountable. For frontline communities, the stakes could not be higher. We can’t sit this one out. Our voices—and our votes—matter.

🌱 When we invest in local growers, we invest in the future of our communities.

Yesterday, MGU joined Galloway Family Farm & Education Center in celebrating their 2026 Kubota Hometown Proud Grant Award — a $25,000 grant and Kubota compact tractor equipment package presented by Lee Tractor.

This investment means more capacity for Galloway Family Farm to grow, educate, nourish, and serve the community. But the bigger picture is what happens when local farmers and growers have the resources they need to expand.

Food systems are community infrastructure. Supporting the people who grow our food strengthens local economies, creates opportunities for hands-on education, and helps build healthier, more resilient communities.

And we know this work cannot stop with one farm.

The next step is helping more farmers and growers access the resources, equipment, connections, and opportunities they need to expand their work and increase their impact. 🌾

Congratulations to Galloway Family Farm on this well-deserved investment. We’re excited to see what grows from here. 💚

in 1917, Lena Horne was born. A celebrated singer, actor and civil rights activist, Horne broke barriers in Hollywood while refusing roles that reinforced racist stereotypes. Offstage, she used her platform to fight segregation, support the Civil Rights Movement and advocate for racial justice.

Her talent, courage and advocacy helped open doors for generations of artists and activists.

✊🏾🌱 Juneteenth is about freedom, but it’s also about the conditions that allow communities to thrive.

This week, our members were proud to celebrate Juneteenth by showing up in spaces that empower, educate, and protect our communities.

At the Youth Career Expo, EEECHO connected with young people about future opportunities and pathways to leadership, helping inspire the next generation of changemakers.

Meanwhile, at the Juneteenth Gathering, Mississippi People's Movement engaged community members in important conversations about flood risks, climate impacts, and the need for community-driven solutions that keep families safe and informed.

Environmental justice is about more than protecting land and water—it’s about ensuring every community has access to opportunity, safety, and a voice in decisions that affect their future.

As we celebrate the progress made since emancipation, we remain committed to the work that still lies ahead: building healthy, resilient, and empowered communities for generations to come.

👏🏾 We’re excited to celebrate Dr. Krystal Nicole Martin, CEO & Co-Founder of the Greater Greener Gloster Project, as she joins Earthjustice as a guest panelist for their upcoming webinar on renewable energy and environmental justice.

Dr. Martin has spent years ensuring that rural and historically overlooked communities have a voice in decisions that affect their land, health, and future. Now she’s bringing that perspective to a national audience.

Join the conversation and support one of our own as we discuss what real, community-centered renewable energy looks like.
