On Monday, February 2, our Auxiliary participated in the first annual Mardi Gras parade at Tradition VA Home.

After the parade, we were invited in for some wonderful Mardi Gras food including jambalaya, gumbo, ettoufe and that delicious King cake for dessert! Fun was had by all!

Totally forgot to take pictures, but today the Auxiliary passed out a bag full of goodies for Christmas to each of the residents at Veterans Home at Tradition.

Each bag included a card, a personalized ornament, a lap blanket, a fleece-lined hat, hand lotion, lip balm and some snacks. They LOVE their snacks! Here's a picture of what we had monogrammed on each of their blankets.

The Auxiliary had another wonderful Golf Tournament. Thank You to all our sponsors, volunteers, and members (Legionnaires, SAL, and Auxiliary) for all the support in all the many things you all do! Proceeds from this fundraiser will go to support our many Veteran and Community causes.

On Tuesday, Diane Trejo and Sharon Wilkinson attended the MS Nursing Home in Tradition for a Fall Festival. The home is not at full capacity yet, but those in attendance had a good time! Our ladies were in charge of making cotton candy!

Unit 119's 3rd annual golf tournament is coming fast! Get your team together and contact Diane. Raffle tickets are already being sold.!Please stop in at the Post or contact an Auxiliary Member.

Proceeds from the golf tornament will be going towards supporting the Tradition's VA Home, Special Operations Warrior Foundation, a scholarship for a graduate going to Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College. and various other support to our Veterans and their families.
