Please take a few seconds to VOTE YES on the bylaws and fee increase recently passed by SBA.
You will find an email from Tammy Briant sent November 7, 2016 at 9:06a regarding how to vote and attached should be a copy of the bylaws for your review and consideration.
I personally worked on these bylaws and inquired about the fee increase.
I will warn that although no one likes fee increases, the fee increase is vital to the future funding of SBA and every club/organization on campus, and every effort was taken to avoid going this route.
Long story short, our enrollment is down substantially since the current rate was enacted, which means that we are expecting a major hit to funding if the increase doesn't pass.
The increase is $35.
These bylaws will be the first set of uniform bylaws set in place in about 4 years. The current way things have been operating is under a concoction of several versions of bylaws. It's time we have some uniformity.
