🛑🛑🛑 MEETING CANCELLATIONS🛑🛑🛑

Due to board member absences and vacations we will not have a quorum of board members for the April and May, therefore the meetings for those months have been cancelled.

The next Hidden Oaks HOA board meeting will be in June.

The board member elections will still be held this month and ballots should out to all homeowners the week of the 18th and I will be placing the ballot boxes at both entrances that week.

As the May 1st deadline for debris pickup approaches, Gulfport city officials are making a final effort to raise awareness and encourage resident participation in the cleanup process. To aid in the cleanup, the city is providing dumpster services at various locations throughout Gulfport for the next two weeks.

👉 This does not include Hazardous materials or white goods ( large electric appliances ).

👉 Tires can be stacked next to the dumpsters.

ELECTIONS

Recently there have been questions raised about HOA board elections by some homeowners so allow me to clarify this.

We have been in contact with the HOA attorney to assist in interpreting the bylaws, per that conversation elections are held every 2 years for board positions. The last election was held in April of 2022 with the members elected as indicated in the screenshot below taken from the May 2022 board meeting minutes ( the entirety of the minutes can be viewed in the record on the HOA website ), some of these members who were elected in that voting period then resigned their positions later and these positions were filled by appointment from the remaining member and as such will fill the positions until the next election in April of 2024.

There will be no election this year per the HOA bylaws, members who wish to join can still be appointed by the board, they simply need to attend a meeting and make that desire known, it is then at the discretion of the HOA board of directors.

I hope this clarifies the matter in question.
