Friday’s at camp are always full of surprises and wet fun! First a game of twister, then working with our buddies to make beaded bubble wands. We cleaned up our playground…and it sparkled! Then we played Doodle Wars, had lunch and special birthday cupcakes (Happy B’day Henry!). After a short rest, we hit the waterworks! Human car wash, slip n slide and wiggly sprinklers. We ended the day with popsicles and prizes! Creative Camp will be back June 22nd with a super VBS!

Today we explored art through music…beginning with an introduction to the harmonium, the panda drum and the singing bowl. We even got to ring bells! Later, we made “TP” (toilet paper) people out of cardboard rolls. We love free play time, when we get a chance to create something on our own. Tomorrow…WATER DAY!

VBS Creative Camp - June 22-26. We'll be searching for Jesus through Bible stories, music and S'more fun! This one's sure to sell out. FIRST 40 children to sign up and pay deposit receives their own indoor pup tent, which they will decorate and keep!

CREATIVE CAMP WEEK… Continuing our exploration of turning trash to treasure, we made transfer prints from scrap paper, donated by our friends at PDQ Printing. Then we made accordion houses out of cardboard boxes. We also had storytime, bubble play, and more fun! 2 more great days to go!

We are talking about the art of Tyree Guyton this week, so we are practicing painting circles, overlapping colors, and finished our graffiti fences for unique, one of a kind sculptures! Of course, there was lots of outdoor play…even walks in the rain to get back and forth from the big hall to our Arts Center! “Trash to treasure” continues tomorrow!

JUNE 15-19: Art Camp for Rising 3rd thru 6th graders! We’ll dive deep into watercolors, sculpture, acrylics, textile and more! In addition, on Thursday, we will be joining deaf campers at de l'Epee Deaf Center, Inc. to learn some ASL and work on an art project together! Pack a lunch, and come for the fun! 9am to 2pm daily.
